Okeechobee Train Station
As the train station continues to sit in disrepair, nothing is new with our quest to gain access to the station. CSX, once again, has proven to be very difficult to work with. From providing an agreement for access which expired on August 15, 2008,with out being given access, to not returning emails or phone calls when we request assistance to gain access. |

City officials have been ignored long enough by CSX. We need CSX to begin fruitful and honest negotiations with the City to secure the station for our community. If you are interested in helping, give your City Council person or your State Representative a call to express your displeasure with the progress of securing the station for our community. We would provide the number to CSX, but they do not respond to calls. |

| On a positive note, AMTRAK personnel will be here this week to meet with City and Main Street officials on the usage of the station. So keep tuned to our website for future updates on our venture to secure the train depot for Okeechobee. | ||
